Bell & Ross celebrates 30 years of the Tornado

Because aeronautical instrumentation is the absolute benchmark in terms of legibility, reliability and performance, Bell & Ross designs instrument watches directly inspired by the instruments on board an aircraft control panel, according to four fundamental principles: legibility, functionality, precision, water resistance. Precisely because Bell & Ross watches perfectly meet extreme requirements, the Swiss watchmaker has become a reference brand in the luxury watchmaking sector and in the exclusive universe of professional users. Civil Security deminers, Rafale pilots, divers and today, Tornado pilots, a new prestige reference for the Bell & Ross brand, synonymous with quality and reliability for extreme professionals. In particular, the 1980s were prolific years for fighter aviation in Europe, especially in terms of developments and cooperation between countries. The Panavia Tornado is the perfect example of this. Aiming to be at the forefront of navigation for high performance and extreme precision, the MRCA 75 (Multi-Role Combat Aircraft 1975), soon to be renamed the Tornado, was jointly developed by the UK, Germany and Italy during the 1970s, to be commissioned in 1982. True masterpieces of technology and legendary aircraft, capable of flying at supersonic speeds, these 'Warriors of the Sky' reach Mach 2.34 (2,417 km/h) within a range of 1,400 km. On the strength of the values conveyed by this extraordinary aircraft, Bell & Ross is honoured to pay tribute to this model of aeronautics. The Instrument BR03-94 TORNADO special edition has been designed by Bell & Ross to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the aircraft of the same name, in a limited series, for the general public, of 50 numbered examples worldwide. The BR 03-94, with a diameter of 42 mm, is the ideal discreet instrument for professionals for whom every second is crucial.
