Ben Maher wins the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Rome

Yesterday, after three days of intense competition, the Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome turned off the spotlight on the Stadio dei Marmi arena. As Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the equestrian event, the House timed the victory of British champion Ben Maher riding Explosion in the most eagerly awaited event of the weekend, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Rome. Second and third place went respectively to Marlon Mòdolo Zanotelli on VDL Edgar and Ludger Beerbaum on his Cool Feeling. The victory will give Maher access to the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix where he will compete against the winners of the previous stages in the final in Prague to decree the overall champion of the five-star circuit. After the Eternal City, the riders will have to contend for the title in two more stages, in St-Tropez and for the first time New York, before entering the final round in the Czech capital. Pieter Devos leads the general classification with 266 points, ahead of Ben Maher with 252 points and Kevin Staut with 239 points. During the weekend, spectators also had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event: the Conquest V.H.P. "Very High Precision", with a blue dial, a model that represents a new milestone in the field of quartz, combining great precision, technical content and a sporty look while respecting that concept of elegance dear to the Swiss brand. The timepiece houses a movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analogue watch (± 5 seconds/year) and for its ability to reset the hands after a shock or exposure to a magnetic field thanks to the GDP system (gear train detection system).
