Change of ownership for Stowa

As of 1 July 2021, the German watch brand Stowa became part of the Tempus Arte group, which already includes Lang & Heyne, Uhren-Werke-Dresden (UWD) and Leinfelder Uhren München. In addition, Tempus Arte is a shareholder of Blaken GmbH, a company specialising in customised watches. Stowa, founded in 1927, was a pioneer brand in the field of online sales of quality watches. Jörg Schauer, former majority shareholder of Stowa, said: 'We are delighted to become part of the Tempus Arte group. This acquisition will further strengthen the stability of Stowa and also provide opportunities for growth. Our know-how in a wide variety of areas will help the group to continue to develop in a positive manner. We see an exciting future ahead of us. The group is now preparing to utilise its synergies in the different strategic areas with a watch offering portfolio that encompasses several segments. This further diversification of Tempus Arte has thus created an agile group of very ambitious German brands, which will responsibly tackle the challenges that the future will present to them.
