Doxa Sub 300T Clive Cussler

In tribute to Clive Cussler, novelist, maritime explorer and long-time inspiration for the brand, Doxa presents a new SUB 300T. The well-known American adventure novelist who passed away three years ago, the author of no fewer than 85 books that have sold over 100 million copies, also discovered numerous wrecks through NUMA (an acronym that stands for National Underwater & Marine Agency), a non-profit foundation he founded and which specialises in the location, identification and recovery of marine wrecks of historical significance.

Cussler's novels have contributed greatly to making the name Doxa known throughout the world. In fact, the famous orange clock face was instrumental in helping Dirk Pitt, the hero of his books, by enabling him to tell the time accurately during his missions.

The new Sub 300T Clive Cussler is faithful to the key features of the collection, while still offering original details, including the unprecedented handmade dial, reminiscent of a vintage compass.

On the dial, which is protected by a flat sapphire crystal and has luminescent hands and hour markers, of particular note is the red colouring of the numerals 7, 15 and 31 of the date display at 3 o'clock, in remembrance of Cussler's date of birth, 15 July 1931.
