Festina supports the project "Let's learn to grow through sport", promoted by SOS Children's Villages, a private international organisation that takes in children without family care, guaranteeing them education, medical care and protection in emergency situations, and promotes programmes to support families in need. Based on the shared principle that sport is an important tool for the growth and development of children and young people, the project envisages the company's support to SOS Children's Villages for the financing and organisation of sports activities for the children hosted in the SOS Villages of Vicenza, Rome, Mantua, Saronno (VA), Morosolo (VA) and Ostuni (BR). The objective of this important project is to make sport a channel to facilitate the personal development and identity building of each child, to learn how to take care of oneself and overcome one's difficulties in a perspective of solidarity, confrontation and openness towards others. Sport, in fact, allows them to experience the importance of rules, group life and safety, helps them acquire new skills, transfer knowledge and reinforce the path towards autonomy and responsibility. "Our company has been very close to sport for decades. We support numerous initiatives and events as sponsors. We firmly believe that sport is a vehicle for positive messages.
