The Fortis Cockpit, which is part of the Flieger collection, comes in 2016 with two new versions featuring a more youthful look. The design has been radically overhauled, while retaining the peculiarities of the basic concept that distinguishes this watch, namely the displays typical of helicopter cockpit instrumentation. The 2016 versions feature a dial with a more modern and airy design, in order to allow the indications to be perfectly legible. In particular, the date window highlights this new development. Although, at first glance, it is the new design that attracts attention, it has been designed without forgetting the uncompromising functionality typical of Fortis watches. Excellent legibility is also guaranteed by the sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating on both sides, which has been enhanced to further optimise the display of indications on the dial. One of the two models features a more discreet dial, using the delicate shade of beige. The other version, on the other hand, features elements in a bright orange colour. Both timepieces combine the characteristic minute display with the original Flieger hands. To top it off, the sapphire glass back allows one to admire the new generation ETA movement, thus contributing to the more modern style of this fine aviator watch.
