Fortis accompanied the preparation of the launch of the Columbus research module

Fortis ha accompagnato la preparazione del lancio del modulo di ricerca Columbus

Since the birth of the International Space Station in 2000, the Fortis Official Cosmonauts Chronograph has accompanied astronauts and cosmonauts during their work and on all their missions. The third generation of the Maison's space chronographs recently celebrated its debut on board the ISS, during the preparation for the launch of the Columbus. The launch of the shuttle Atlantis with the new European space laboratory Columbus from Cape Canaveral in Florida represents another milestone in space exploration, kicking off a new era of scientific research aboard the international space station ISS in 2008. Due to the tragic shuttle Columbia accident in February 2003, the launch was delayed four years. The entire space fleet has been thoroughly refurbished and upgraded for future missions and to meet international commitments before 2010, when and Space Shuttle will be permanently decommissioned.
