These models feature refined materials, from the scratch-resistant sapphire lens to the titanium used for the fēnix 3 Sapphire Titanium bezel and strap, guaranteeing light weight and resistance to shocks, drops and abrasions. The second model, the fēnix 3 Sapphire Gray Leather Band, features a wraparound strap in genuine leather or black nylon. Last but not least, the fēnix 3 Sapphire HR is enhanced with Garmin's proprietary Elevate™ technology that enables heart rate measurement directly on the wrist. The models also feature innovative sports modes for different disciplines. Applied to running or trail running, with the advanced running dynamics, wearing an HRM-RUN band, and physiological measurements of fēnix 3 Sapphire HR, you will get information and details about your running technique. Also new are dedicated functions for golf, stand-up puddling and rowing. As a true smartwatch, it allows you to manage smart notifications to receive push notifications, text messages, incoming calls and emails from your smartphone. It also functions as a fitness band, providing the wearer with information on their daily physical activity level (number of steps taken during the day, total distance travelled, calories burned since midnight, stairs climbed).
