Tribal geometries for Richard Mille

Different crafts brought together in a single model: this is the challenge taken up by Richard Mille for its all-female novelty, the RM 71-01 Tourbillon Automatic Talisman watch. It is designed by Cécile Guenat, director of the Maison's women's collections: for the design of the dial, she drew inspiration from art deco and tribal arts, particularly African masks and sculptures. Various materials are used for the subjects depicted, such as diamonds, mother-of-pearl, onyx and black sapphires, with different textures, diameters and cuts. Precious stones also enrich the case and crown. The watch is equipped with the automatic Crmt1 calibre, the eighth made in-house: made of titanium and tonneau-shaped, it is fitted with a skeleton plate that allows one to admire the rotation of the tourbillon cage above it. With a thickness of just over 6 millimetres and an exceptional "weight" of just 8 grams, it is housed in a grey or red gold case.
