Girard-Perregaux Laureate Tourbillon

99105_26_231_BB6A2016 was also the year that Girard-Perregaux's Laureato made its return to the watchmaking scene, in the form of a limited series to celebrate Girard-Perregaux's 225th birthday. After this highly successful limited edition, Girard-Perregaux is placing the Laureato back in its rightful position, namely that of a contemporary watch combining innovative and unique design with a love of detail, high performance and refined taste. These are the typical attributes of a truly iconic watch that travels effortlessly through the ages. Equipped with Haute Horlogerie complications, automatic or quartz movements, dressed in cases available in four sizes and in versions in steel, gold, steel and gold or with titanium elements, the Laureato line has never been so broad and heterogeneous. At the top of the collection, the Laureato Tourbillon alone embodies all the historical savoir-faire of the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture. Its 45 mm case in titanium and gold houses the GP09510 calibre. This movement is entirely produced in La Chaux-de-Fonds by the Manufacture's craftsmen, mechanical engineers, gem-setters and polishers and recalls the emblematic structure and design of the Girard-Perregaux tourbillons, which have made the arrow-shaped Golden Bridge an unmistakable signature. Manufactured to the highest quality standards, this movement is also one of the rare tourbillons with an automatic winding mechanism and almost the only one to feature it in the form of a micro-rotor, moreover made of gold. The GP09510 calibre is available in two versions: in the first, the tourbillon bridge is in pink gold and echoes the pink gold details of the Laureato Tourbillon case, such as the bezel, crown, hour markers and first link of the bracelet; in the second, the tourbillon bridge is in white gold and echoes the tones of the titanium and white gold case.
