GPHG: the third leg of the travelling tour

After Sydney and Bangkok, the 84 watches preselected by the jury of the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG 2019) are on display until today in Mexico at SIAR (Salón Internacional Alta Relojería), the largest trade fair in Latin America. It was a unique opportunity for fans to admire the competing models up close, arranged on tables and not in the usual showcases. "It is important for the GPHG to be present on all continents in order to fulfil our mission of promoting the art of watchmaking through the most beautiful contemporary creations," commented Raymond Loretan, President of the Grand Prix. After Mexico City, the pre-selected watches - competing for the famous Grand Prix 'Aiguille d'Or' or one of the 18 prizes that reward excellence in watchmaking - will arrive in Puebla, Mexico, before returning to Geneva, where the winners' awards ceremony will be held on 7 November.
