H. Moser & Cie: absolute black and red gold

For the Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack, H. Moser & Cie. opts for the elegance of red gold contrasting with the absolute black of the Vantablack dial.

At the Geneva Watch Days 2022, H. Moser & Cie. is launching a new complicated, flying tourbillon variant of its luxury sports watch with integrated bracelet: the Streamliner.

First presented in 2020, in the sporty/chic sphere the Streamliner was a unique and distinctly distinctive interpretation, asserting more fluid and aerodynamic lines, with a sculptural case (water-resistant to 120 metres), slightly domed crystal, and a bracelet that continued the angled design of the coussin case, elegantly curved to follow the line of the wrist.

The use of red gold for the case (40 mm in diameter) and bracelet differentiates the Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack from the previous Streamliner models (chronograph, central seconds and perpetual calendar), which featured an all-steel construction.

The absolute black dial is made of Vantablack, a material already used by Moser in other watches, consisting of carbon nanotubes capable of absorbing almost 100% of visible light. Normally used in astrophysics inside telescopes and in the military to enhance the camouflage of certain equipment, in Moser's watchmaking it creates the sensation of the absence of matter, a sort of black hole in the place of the dial (true to the brand's "no logo" philosophy), in which the flying tourbillon cage "floats" at 6 o'clock, as if totally suspended in vacuum.

The contrast of absolute black with the metal is also emphasised by the red gold indices, fixed to the back of the dial by a plate; the hands have Globolight luminous inserts.
The movement is the automatic HMC 804 calibre with double balance-spring, for the benefit of precision and isochronism.

Price126,000 euro.
