H. Moser & Cie is launching a provocation: to the growth of the new smartwatch market that visually creates a little deception, to bring attention back to the values of mechanical watchmaking. Instead of creating a watch with an electronic heart that tries to look like a mechanical watch, the brand has chosen to do the opposite: the Swiss Alp Watch is inspired by the modern design of smartwatches (the rectangular case is reminiscent of the Apple Watch), but is totally mechanical (the calibre is the manual HMC324). "The Swiss Alp Watch doesn't allow you to make phone calls or send messages to share the latest gossip; it doesn't allow you to send beautiful sketches created on a two-inch screen or share your heartbeat. It does much more: it reconnects you to what matters in life.
