At the request of the director of 'Dune - Part 2', Denis Villeneuve, Hamilton has created a customised 'Desert Watch' and is launching two limited editions of the Ventura series to coincide with the film.
'Dune - Part 2' to be released on the big screen on 28 February, is the second chapter in the saga inspired by Frank Herbert's famous novel and directed by Denis Villeneuve. Produced by Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros, the film still features the young Paul Atreides (the actor Timothée Chalamet), hunted and hunted by the enemy Harkonnen on the desert planet of Arrakis, joins Chani (played by Zendaya) and the other Fremen, and meditates revenge against the conspirators, who destroyed his family. The stars also include a special Hamilton watch, specially made for the film.
Hamilton once again reaffirms its connection to the world of cinema. His watches have appeared in more than 500 films and TV series: bespoke timepieces that have played a key role in Hollywood's greatest hits. In contrast to previous collaborations, in which watches already in the collection were used, excavated from the archives or completely new models were created, for the film 'Dune - Part 2' the approach was different.
'Dune - Part 2': a 'Desert Watch' special
Two limited edition special series of the Ventura are inspired by 'Dune - Part 2'.
At the wish of the director, Hamilton worked alongside the props manager, Doug Harlocker, to create a watch for a world that defies the rules of traditional watches. Without prior information on the function of the device, but guided by the story of the novel and the vision of the film, Hamilton's designers have created a durable, Fremen-style instrument.
Coinciding with the release of 'Dune - Part 2', Hamilton also launched two limited series of the Ventura line inspired by the film. Both feature a luminous blue dial reminiscent of the Fremen's unmistakable blue eyes. The Ventura XXL Bright Dune Limited Edition, printed in 3,000 pieces, features the characteristic triangular Ventura case made of Pvd-coated steel. Important dimensions: 52x 46.6 mm and a thickness of 11.8 mm. A button activates the illumination of the blue lines that echo the design of the 'Desert Watch' dial. Water resistance is 10 atmospheres. It is on sale for 1,845 euros.

The Ventura Edge Dune Limited Edition is also in Pvd steel. The dimensions of the case in this case are 51 x 47.2 mm with a thickness of 18.8 mm. The black dial features a blue digital display, imitating the raised elements seen on the props in 'Dune - Part 2'.. Water resistance is 10 atmospheres. Produced in a limited edition of 2,000 pieces, it is sold at €2,595.
Both models are equipped with a quartz movement and fitted with a black rubber strap with a pin buckle. The watches come with a commemorative box inspired by the film.
