Harry Winston - Opus XIII

Harry Winston's Opus saga continues with edition number XIII, in which the reading of time appears and disappears thanks to an interplay of fifty-nine rotating minute hands, eleven rotating hour triangles, operated by a sliding mechanism. The minutes accumulate along a scale, in red every five minutes, retreating in unison when they complete the turn of the hours. Silver triangles sprout in turn from the facetted dome to display the hours and return once they have completed their task. Every twelve hours, the Harry Winston logo appears on the dial and then vanishes sixty minutes later. The display is made possible by two separate but coordinated energy sources. One barrel drives the escapement through gears and oscillates the balance at 21,600 vibrations per hour. The other barrel supplies the energy for the minute display, activated every 60 seconds by the central wheel of the movement. It is made of white gold. Price: 268,500 euros.
