Hermès: the evolution of the H Carré

The first version of the Hermès Carré H was designed in 2010 by Marc Berthier and was offered in titanium as a limited edition. This year, the Maison is offering it in a steel variant with a broader dial for better legibility. Compared to the past, it has softer lines, with a case with rounded corners and a curved profile, even on the caseback side, catering to current tastes and better ergonomics on the wrist. Finally, the bar indices have been replaced by Arabic numerals in a distinctive typographic style, with the adoption of a zero in front of numerals 1 to 9. The movement is the IWC-manufactured automatic calibre H1912, with a 50-hour power reserve.
