Yesterday, the famous Hallmark of Geneva celebrated its 125th birthday and to mark the occasion, TimeLab, the Foundation of the Geneva Watchmaking and Microtechnology Laboratory, presented the new technical and administrative rules that will take effect from June 2012. While up to now, in fact, the subject of the Geneva Seal certification was only the movement, from now on it will concern the watch in its entirety including the habillage. New characteristics will be tested and new means of control will be used to guarantee the water-resistance, precision, functions and power reserve of a timepiece.
