Summer is coming, the season that brings so much desire for change. The sun is out, the days are longer, we are all happier and, with a good dose of euphoria, we go in search of colourful clothes, we pull our motorbikes or convertibles out of the garage, we go out more in the evenings, holidays arrive. So many changes involving a wide sphere of our static autumn/winter routine from which watches are not excluded. For the latter, the part most subject to change in the summer period is the strap, an accessory that lends itself to hundreds of variations in colours and materials that give a decisive touch to the usual look. Eighty per cent of watch owners change the strap before the summer, choosing it according to the type of model, colour or material suitable for use. It is not uncommon to see classic and prestige watches - which usually have brown or black straps - dressed in 'daring' colours, as well as seeing sports watches using not only rubber or rubber, but technical materials derived from the nautical and aeronautical fields. One of the latest appearances are 'vintage' look straps with faded or aged leathers, in colours ranging from red, leather, green and sand, used by many enthusiasts always looking for a special version for their watch. In addition, we would like to point out the fabric straps that have been back on the scene for a few years now, always updated in design and colour and increasingly part of the equipment of sports models. The female public, already very attentive to changes throughout the year, is much more committed in the summer: dozens of orders are already being delivered to the shops; the straps for sports models in men's sizes are very popular, transformed from steel or rubber bracelets, with colours ranging from teal to bright red, passing through orange, turquoise or classic white, creating an aesthetic result that does not go unnoticed and is decidedly pleasing. It is no coincidence that, taking their cue from and observing these modifications created by so many passionate watch owners, manufacturers are increasingly coming out with straps that would have been unthinkable to use just a few years ago, creating a decisive break with the flat and 'colourless' past. So, for those who have never experimented or never dared, we are in the right season to try.
