The new Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze

1TUDOR HERITAGE BLACK BAY BRONZE fabric strapTudor's Heritage Black Bay collection has been enriched with the arrival of the new Heritage Black Bay Bronze model, a diver's watch with a 43 mm case inspired by the brand's history and equipped with a mechanical movement developed, produced and assembled by Tudor. The personality-defining features of the new Heritage Black Bay Bronze hark back to the brand's past. The overall lines, dial and domed crystal are a reference to the very first diver's watches produced by Tudor. The oversized winding crown recalls that of the famous reference 7924 from 1958, nicknamed Big Crown. The hands with their characteristic angular shape, known as "snowflake" hands, are taken from watches supplied by the brand to the French Navy in the 1970s. The lugs with particularly accentuated side holes and bevels are also to be included among the historical aesthetic elements adopted by this new model. The characteristic element of the Heritage Black Bay Bronze is undoubtedly the imposing 43 mm diameter bronze case, an aesthetic reference to the use of this metal in ships and diving equipment of the past. The choice of this material, a high-performance alloy of bronze and aluminium, results in the formation of a slight patina, which will be different and unique depending on the habits of the wearer. In addition to a highly functional appearance, in keeping with the world to which it pays homage, the Heritage Black Bay Bronze features fully satin-finished finishes that ensure the uniformity of the patina. The movement used is the MT5601 calibre, where the "MT" stands for "Manifattura Tudor", and it is a variant of the movement produced by the company and developed specifically for this model. It has a slightly larger diameter and displays the hours, minutes and seconds. The movement is also certified by the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Control).
