Puma and Fossil Group unveil Puma Sport, the sports brand's first smartwatch featuring Wear OS by Google™ and Qualcomm® Snapdragon Wear™ 3100. The watch, which can be seen from today until 11 September at IFA Berlin, Europe's largest consumer electronics fair, is designed to help athletes train, monitor goals and connect with others while on the move. A meeting point between sport and technology, this smartwatch features a contoured nylon and aluminium case, which provides an ultra-lightweight fit, and a rough silicon strap, which provides grip and breathability, to minimise sweating during exercise. "Our customers see technology as a must-have and are looking for a smartwatch to support their active lifestyle," says Adam Petrick, General Manager Brand and Marketing at Puma. With Google Fit™, this new product can track activities such as pilates, rowing or spinning, and count repetitions in muscle-strengthening exercises such as push-ups. In 'training mode', Google Fit can continuously monitor your heart rate, making it easier to see if your heart rate is within your ideal average. Finally, Google Fit makes it easy to edit and monitor activity goals and notifies users of the progress and completion of goals. The Puma smartwatch also provides various types of interactive dials. These include the 'Scorecard' dial, which shows the time, date and heart rate, and allows the user to choose information for quick viewing. Users can also upload photos from social media and display them directly on their smartwatch. Made in three different colours, it will be available in November on puma.com and at selected retailers.
