Jeanrichard - BaselWorld 2013: Aeroscope Watches

A modern interpretation of the traditional aviation watch, the new Aeroscope chronograph in titanium is one of the exciting new products Jeanrichard presented at BaselWorld 2013. The House drew inspiration from the design of aeroplane flight counters to create a collection evoking the vast universe of the skies. The most striking feature: optimal legibility achieved thanks to the large Arabic numerals and orange, white or black luminescent hourmarkers on a contrasting dial background. The latter is available in a rhodium-plated black or grey version with vertical satin-finishing and hollowed counters with circular satin-finishing, or in matt white. The self-winding JR66 chronograph movement is designed to measure aerial exploits with the utmost precision. The cushion-shaped case in titanium - a metal particularly prized by aeronautics - combines lightness and robustness. The large round bezel with vertical satin finish rests on a case formed of several elements to highlight the different satin or polished finishes and play with the colours of the metal, natural grey or black with DLC coating. The collection thus offers a wide choice of models, ranging from grey titanium to black, through various combinations of cases, lugs and bezels. The homage to the conquest of the skies is underlined by black or brown barenia leather straps with contrasting ivory white or orange stitching. The Aeroscope is also available with a black, white, orange or grey rubber strap featuring a unique embossed texture, JR logo and folding clasp, or with a grey or black titanium bracelet with alternating motifs and a butterfly clasp.
