Jeanrichard - Partnership with Nik Wallenda

Following last month's partnership celebrations with Jeanrichard, renowned tightrope walker Nik Wallenda set a new world record by crossing the Grand Canyon without a harness or safety net, once again setting a new World Record - the seventh so far. This latest balancing act saw him cross the Little Colorado River Gorge in north-eastern Arizona over a distance of about 400 metres on Sunday, 23 June. He made the crossing on a 2-inch (5 cm) steel rope, at a height of 425 metres above the river on the Navajo Nation's Hellhole Bend in the Grand Canyon. The 34-year-old acrobat took just over 22 minutes (22'54'') to perform this incredible challenge, which was filmed in its entirety by the Discovery Channel television network, which, by broadcasting it live, achieved the best TV, live TV, social and digital share since 2010. During this historic 'walk' - one year after crossing Niagara Falls - for the first time ever, the 'King of the Rope' wore a Jeanrichard Terrascope watch with a steel case, black dial, black rubber strap and JR60 self-winding movement. "We started working with Nik because we admire his personal values and the way he lives his passion and pursues his dreams. He is an extraordinary man who loves what he does and is a deep inspiration not only to us but to everyone who knows him," says Bruno Grande, COO of the brand.
