The anticipation Watches and Wonders by Carl F. Bucherer

In anticipation of the opening of Watches and Wonders 2021, scheduled to take place digitally from 7 to 13 April, Carl F. Bucherer unveils one of its previews: the new version of the Heritage BiCompax Annual inspired by a historic 1950s model. The elegant chronograph, limited to 888 pieces (in tribute to the year the company was founded, 1888), features a 41 millimetre steel case and a dial with the same design as its predecessor but in inverted colours: two symmetrical silvered chronograph counters are placed horizontally on the black galvanised dial with a tachometric scale on the flange (in the 1950 version, the counters were black and the dial white). The same colour scheme is echoed on the strap, in black calfskin with silver stitching but also available in a sportier rubber variant. The watch features an annual calendar and a large date display that takes into account the different lengths of the months - 28, 30 and 31 days - thus only having to be adjusted in a leap year: the next time will be in 2024. It is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre CFB 1972, with 42 hours of power reserve.
