After the highly anticipated launch of the new Fiat 500, it is the turn of the Locman make the watch expressly dedicated to the new icon of Italian style. The watch design is by Roberto Gioito, the same man who redesigned the lines of the historic car. We find the result very pleasing, and the Tuscan company's relaunch of the analogue-digital watch is interesting. There are many parallels with the car, starting with the graphics of the dial, which echoes that of the tachometer on the dashboard of the 2007 edition 500. The digital functions, displayed in the central part of the dial in the 'digit' area of the car's odometer, are activated by pressing the crown. In succession, three time zones, the date display, the week number display, the alarm, and the chronograph with tachymeter scale are activated. The case back, screwed to the case, is then engraved with designer Roberto Giolito's signature and the watch's serial number. Finally, the padded leather strap is inspired, in its colours and softness, by the materials used for the car's interior.
The new Locman Fiat 500 will be in shops from 1 December, in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
