Longines: pioneering spirit

Longines presents its new Spirit collection with which it takes up the design of timepieces that accompanied aviators and explorers close to the Maison in their conquest of the skies, the seas and new territories: Amelia Earhart, Paul-Emile Victor, Elinor Smith and Howard Hughes. All models are exclusively equipped with self-winding mechanical movements, fitted with silicon balance springs, which guarantee great precision and durability. These calibres - L888.4 and L688.4 - ensure a power reserve of 64 and 60 hours respectively and boast the Cosc chronometry certificate. The timepieces are available in three-hand/dial (40 and 42 mm) and chronograph (42 mm) versions and feature matt black, silvered grené or sun-blue dials, all bearing the five applied stars which, in the Longines tradition, testify to the quality and reliability of the movements used. The dials also feature diamond hour markers and large luminescent baton hands. A steel bracelet or a light, dark brown or blue leather strap complete the case. The three-hand/atario model is also offered in a Prestige version that includes three interchangeable straps (steel bracelet, leather strap and brown leather Nato strap). All are fitted with a domed sapphire crystal with multi-layered anti-reflective treatment on both sides, a screw-down crown and an engraved back secured by six screws.
