The Complicated Reservoir Clock

Reservoir, a brand of French origin but produced entirely in Switzerland, makes car-inspired wristwatches. The Tiefenmesser model, for example, reproduces the design of a car's speedometer on the dial, complete with an indication of speed, kilometres travelled and fuel reserve. Equipped with retrograde minutes, shown along a 240° arc, and jumping hours, displayed inside the window at 6 o'clock, the model is fitted with a self-winding mechanical movement based on an ETA 2824 and an additional module manufactured by Reservoir. The power reserve amounts to 36 hours. It is housed in a satin-finished bronze case, 43 millimetres in diameter, closed by a titanium back with a sapphire crystal porthole. Guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 5 atmospheres, the watch comes with a vintage-effect brown leather strap and folding clasp. It is on sale at a price of €4,100.
