The Icelandic Coast Guard Watch

SIF – Nart
SIF - Nart

La JS Watch co. Reykjavíkafter about two years of experimentation, announced the launch of the SIF - Nart (Nord Atlantic Rescue Timer) watch designed to withstand up to 1,000 metres and extreme conditions: those of the rescue missions of the Icelandic Coast Guard, with which it collaborated in the design of the model in question. The SIF - Nart was therefore made specifically to support the difficult work of the Icelandic Coast Guard.

The name is derived from that of the TF-SIF rescue helicopter, which served the Icelandic Coast Guard for 22 years and retired in 2007 after saving the lives of more than 250 people. The watch will be available for the following units of the Icelandic Coast Guard: the helicopter rescue team, helicopter and aeroplane pilots, and members of the bomb disposal and diving teams. The name N.A.R.T stands for North Atlantic Rescue Timer and refers to the watch's functions.

You can now buy the same model worn by members of the Icelandic Coast Guard, available in two variants: satin-finished steel and PVD steel.
