Dedicated Louis Vuitton presents the new America's Cup Regatta Tambour, equipped with a 5-minute countdown function. The countdown for America's Cup regatta starts used to be set at 10 minutes, but with the use of catamarans this rule has been changed, allowing the defending team to choose it as they wish, and for this edition the defending team has chosen a 5-minute duration. The countdown is displayed in the first four of the last five minutes in the window at 12 o'clock, while the last one is displayed in the window at 6 o'clock (as well as in the counter at 9 o'clock). Produced in a limited series of 720 pieces (in homage to the length of the catamarans used in the competition, namely the 72-foot-long AC72s), the Tambour Regatta America's Cup has a 44-mm steel case covered in black natural rubber, is fitted with a Dubois-Dépraz-based automatic mechanical movement and is guaranteed water-resistant to 10 atmospheres. Note the America's Cup logo on the dial at 6 o'clock.
