Since the rediscovery by Pierre DeRoche of pocket watch movements from the late 19th century, with chronograph and hour and quarter-repeating functions, the BelCanto model was born. The discovery of these technical "gems" came in 2007, when Pierre Dubois, the brand's Managing Director, discovered these little hand-wound jewels in an antique dealer's shop. Hence the idea of reviving the old calibres (which turned out to be signed LeCoultre) in wristwatches. The beautiful "overview" of the movement is provided by the sapphire dial that reveals its finishing, gear wheels and gears. An old-fashioned movement revisited with elements executed according to the most up-to-date techniques, such as the synthetic sapphire plate, the back of which is treated with a chrome-effect metallisation process using a PVD process. All enclosed in a massive, contemporary pink gold case: the result is an exclusive column-wheel chronograph with hour and quarter repeater with two gongs, activated by a slide positioned at 9 o'clock.
