Morellato S.p.A acquires D'Amante jewellers

Morellato S.p.A., Europe's leading manufacturer and marketer of watch straps, jewellery and watches, announces the acquisition of the D'Amante jewellery chain. The D'Amante Group, with €16 million in sales in 2019, has 180 employees and 35 shops located in Italy's most important shopping centres. Morellato S.p.A., assisted in the transaction by lawyer Alessandro Zanonato of Padua, has allocated a total investment of €8 million. With this new acquisition, the third in a year after Mister Watch and the Cleor Group in France, Morellato S.p.A. continues with its strategy of integrating the supply chain: from creation to production to reaching the end consumer directly. "This new acquisition marks the step towards a further strengthening of our capillary presence on the Italian territory with 220 directly operated points of sale in Italy, inside shopping centres and railway stations, to which 140 shops in France will be added," says Massimo Carraro (in photo), Morellato Group Chairman. "D'Amante will be our second store in Italy, alongside the Bluespirit retail chain, with a specific focus on precious jewellery and offering the best brands in the sector, starting with those of the Morellato Group," concludes Carraro.
