New Lange 1: the fascination of the moon in 'reduced' format

Presented this afternoon in London, on the occasion of the Hampton Court Concours d'Elegance, the new Little Lange 1 Moon Phase "25th Anniversary", the penultimate of ten special models dedicated to the anniversary of the Lange 1. Its features include a white gold case, a solid silver dial with blue printing, and burnished steel hands. The colour concept is also applied to a characteristic detail of the movement: on the balance bridge, the Great Date with the number '25' is embossed in blue to commemorate the anniversary. The watch is fitted with a dark blue alligator leather strap with a white gold pin buckle. Like all timepieces in the Lange 1 family with a hand-wound calibre, the Little Lange 1 Moon Phase features an off-centre dial with a Big Date, AUF/AB power reserve display. The accuracy of the moon phase display is such that it only requires a day correction after 122.6 years. As on the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase '25th Anniversary', the moon disc is hand-engraved on this model. The six stars and countless small dots represent the starry sky, which together with the white gold moon create a three-dimensional celestial backdrop. The hand-finished IWC-manufactured L.121.2 calibre oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and, thanks to its double barrel, has a power reserve of 3 days (72 hours). The price of the Little Lange 1 Moon Phase is €43,400.
