Aware of the importance of the legibility of the key information on its watches while diving, Panerai is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the birth of the Luminor (a patented tritium-based substance with luminescent properties) with a model produced in a limited edition of just 70 pieces, covered by a 70-year guarantee. Available exclusively from Panerai boutiques, the new Luminor Marina - 44mm Guillaume Néry Edition is a veritable concentration of innovative aesthetic elements. These include the rubberized coating on the bezel, the crown and the bridge lever to protect it, as well as the strongly domed crystal and the dial with its dégradé effect, which emulates the suggestive nuances produced by the propagation of sunlight through the depths of the sea. The case of the new Luminor Marina 44mm - Guillaume Néry Edition is made of DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintering) titanium, a metal shaped through a futuristic 3D printing process. It houses the calibre P.9010 (13 ¾ lignes, 200 components, 31 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, Glucydur balance, Incabloc shock-absorption device), a self-winding mechanical movement just 6 mm thick, entirely designed and developed in-house at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. This movement is equipped with a double barrel (for a winding autonomy of 3 days) and a rapid time adjustment function, which can be modified in one-hour forward or backward steps, automatically linked to the date indicator. The watch is water-resistant to 30 atmospheres (approx. 300 metres depth), and is fitted with a strap made of black recycled PET material with white stitching, equipped with a trapezoidal pin buckle in titanium with a black DLC finish. A technical white rubber strap, offered as a first with luminescent "Officine Panerai" personalisation, completes the standard equipment, as well as a screwdriver for removing the buckle and a recycled plastic box engraved with Guillaume Néry's signature. Finally, the caseback is also engraved with the silhouette of the apneist and brand ambassador.
