Panerai - New Luminor Due

The Luminor Due from Panerai is now loaded with new content, acquiring a more marked identity. On the one hand, three new executions united by the satin-finished titanium of the case and the blue satiné soleil finish of the dial. On the other, three renewed models with an eclectic character, repositories of a consistent array of style and versatility. Equipped with in-house mechanical movements and quick-change straps, each new Luminor Due is unprecedented and thus the custodian of a new chapter in the brand's history. Decidedly more subtle in its total respect for classic creativity and ideal historical compromise, the Luminor Due is a timepiece whose artistic dimension now expands into three new references determined to assert its renewed identity broadening the scope of action under the banner of functional improvement. When it comes to materials, with a Luminor Due - 38 mm (PAM00926) for the first time in titanium. Of combinations, thanks to a Luminor Due - 42 mm (PAM00927), the first in its size class to combine a titanium case and a self-winding mechanical movement. Finally of solutions, by virtue of the record acquired by the Luminor Due GMT Power Reserve - 45 mm (PAM000964), officially the first "45 mm" by Panerai equipped with an interchangeable strap with a Quick Release system. Distinguished refinement, expressed through a more avowedly informal character, is instead the key to interpretation reserved for three new Luminor Due perfected in the 38 and 42 mm sizes and elaborated with a stainless steel or Goldtech® case. A collective trademark, the radical revision of the graphics of the dials, sophisticated, polished because interpreted with printed hour markers and Arabic numerals but fully responding in visual language to the Panerai iconography. Stylistic revision consistently completed by the choice of personal leather straps. An incessant process of perfection, that of the Luminor Due, which cannot fail to include a careful refinement of the movement compartment, which is rigorously mechanical and manufactured, as per Panerai's restrictive specifications, but now exclusively with automatic winding. A need dictated by practicality, to be reconciled on a physical and aesthetic level with a challenging dimensional containment, the instrumental prerogative of the collection. Triggering motivation behind the introduction of the new Calibre P.900, with its 4.2 mm thickness one of the thinnest automatic movements in actual service at the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. The first Panerai automatic with a small diameter to combine date and three days of power reserve, a strategic solution shared by the Luminor Due - 38 mm (PAM00926 - PAM1043 - PAM1045) and the Luminor Due - 42 mm (PAM00927 - PAM1046). Extreme sophistication, further amplified at the mechanical level in Calibre P.4002 assigned to the Luminor Due GMT Power Reserve - 45 mm (PAM000964). Dual time-zone with power-reserve indication on the dial side and 24-hour display with am/pm indicator, contained in 4.8 mm thickness thanks to the use of a bidirectional off-centre micro-rotor in tungsten alloy. Genetically ready for change, the new Luminor Due come with an interchangeable strap equipped with a Quick Release system and are water-resistant to 3 bar (approximately 30 metres).
