Parmigiani Fleurier and the Magic of the Moon

Two years after its launch, Parmigiani Fleurier renews the aesthetics of the Tonda 1950 Lune with a model for men and its counterpart for women. On both, the "lunar calendar" complication on the dial is in the foreground with a new layout. On the men's version, with its rose gold case and slate dial, the lunar calendar with its representation of the two hemispheres is located at 10 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock, as before. This oblique arrangement is consistent with the date at 3 o'clock, the logo at 1 o'clock and the small seconds window at 6 o'clock. In the ladies' version, with a pink gold case and mother-of-pearl dial, the moon appears at 10 o'clock amidst a starry sky and a golden thread frames the date at 4 o'clock. Finally, the dial aperture is reduced by a slightly wider bezel, which allows larger diamonds to be set. Equipping both watches is the PF708 calibre, a mechanical self-winding movement with a platinum micro-rotor. Its elements have been meticulously positioned on the mainplate to ensure a harmonious display of the different time indications.
