Although it has only just entered the world of haute horlogerie, Ralph Lauren offers very interesting timepieces with a classic appeal, characterised by first-class finishing. As in the case of the Slim Classique, with its 42-millimetre case in 18-carat white gold set with 192 round diamonds on the bezel, and only 5.35 millimetres thick. The dial, designed to display only the hours and minutes, is impeccably guilloché-engraved with a barleycorn motif in a spiral pattern. The Roman hour marker band, on the other hand, is guilloché-engraved with a chemin de fer motif. The hands are blackened and of the Breguet type. The movement used, an ultra-thin mechanical hand-wound movement, is only 2.1 mm thick, is manufactured by Piaget and has a 40-hour power reserve. Equipped with a smooth case back to accommodate possible engravings, anti-reflective sapphire crystal and crocodile strap, the Slim Classique by Ralph Lauren is water-resistant to a pressure of 3 atmospheres.
