Romain Jerome draws inspiration from the eruption of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull, the fourth anniversary of which falls this year, to create his first watch in the Eyjafjallajökull-DNA collection. Featuring a 43-millimetre diameter case in steel with black PVD treatment, designed by Daniel Haas, it displays a dial made of lava stone from the volcano: the volcanic fissure, in particular, is hand-drawn with cold enamel; the tips of the hour and minute hands represent the planes that were grounded by the ash cloud that swept across the skies of Europe. On the caseback is a medallion depicting the map of Iceland. It is equipped with a self-winding mechanical movement, calibre RJ002-A. Available in a limited edition of 99, the Eyjafjallajökull Evo watch is priced at €13,950.
