Called Ferragamo Time, the new Salvatore Ferragamo Timepieces collection will be presented to the public at the forthcoming Baselworld. It consists of two lines, one for men and one for women, that elegantly reinterpret the marriage of contemporary design and Swiss Made excellence. The round case is very simple in the men's version, and entirely set with diamonds in the ladies'; the octagonal crown is embellished with black onyx in both models. With a look that harks back to the mix of textures dear to the Maison, the dial combines a sunray finish on the outer band with a guilloché treatment in the centre that accentuates its depth. More racy on a technical level, the men's version is powered by an automatic movement, visible through the glass back, while the ladies' version is quartz. The strap, moreover, emphasises the classy mood: it comes in crocodile print leather in blue, brown or black for men, for women it relies on the softness of calfskin in smoky grey, nude or purple. Available alternatively with a steel bracelet, also two-tone, Ferragamo Time comes in five men's and five women's references. This new collection will be on sale from March 2016 in Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques, at authorised retailers or online at ferragamotimepieces.com.
