Seiko Presage Sharp Edged

Introduced last year, the Presage Sharp Edged collection combines smooth surfaces with facetted angles that, together, allow the timepiece to sparkle depending on the angle at which light is reflected. Also in this new model, the dial adopts the traditional hemp leaf motif known as Asanoha. Since hemp grows rapidly, it symbolises growth and prosperity and has been depicted in Japan since the Heian period to wish good health. The hands, highlighted by the gold colour, stand out against the black dial, in a reference to the rays of the sun that illuminate Tokyo at first light. The steel case with black coating has a diameter of 39.3 mm and a thickness of 11.1 mm and is water-resistant to a pressure of 10 atmospheres. The movement used is the calibre 6R35 (24 jewels, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 70-hour power reserve), self-winding mechanical and antimagnetic. Equipped with a black stainless steel bracelet, this new Presage Sharp Edged is fitted with an additional black calfskin strap. It is available in a limited edition of 4,000 pieces at selected Seiko boutiques and retailers.
Price: 1,190 euro.
