Composed of two-thirds ceramic and one-third bio-based plastic, Bioceramic combines the best of both worlds: the bio-plastic gives the new mix less rigidity and less fragility, while the ceramic adds strength. The result is therefore a material that is stronger and more resilient, as well as being 'silky' and pleasant to the touch and thermosensitive, i.e. it adapts quickly to body temperature. This innovative material is currently being used in the Big Bold collection, with a 47 mm case and a strap and glass made of a material of biological origin. There are five colours to choose from: white, black, grey, light blue or pink. The new Big Bold Next in Bioceramic is a fine example of design and thanks to the transparency of the dial, both the movement and the structure of the watch are clearly visible. Worth mentioning is the fact that, by the end of 2021, all major Swatch product lines will begin to adopt Bioceramic.
