TAG Heuer SLR 300 Calibre 1887 Chronograph

It takes us back to the 1950s the brand new TAG Heuer SLR 300 Calibre 1887, a watch created to celebrate the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, the car of Juan Manuel Fangio, one of the first ambassadors of the Swiss Maison and a driver with a unique charisma. The steel case, 41 millimetres in diameter, frames a brown dial with a tachymeter scale on the outer rim, chrono hour counter at 6 o'clock, chrono minutes at 12 o'clock and continuous seconds at 9 o'clock. The date is at 6 o'clock. Hour markers with luminescent indicators, hands with orange detailing and a Heuer logo at 3 o'clock complete the dial design. The same logo can also be found on the folding clasp of the brown perforated leather strap with orange stitching. The caseback is personalised with a reproduction of the Mercedes SLR 300. Equipped with the Calibre 1887, TAG Heuer's first in-house chronograph movement, this new timepiece is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres. Available from February 2011, in a limited and numbered edition of 5,000 pieces, it will be on sale for €3,600. For information: LVMH Watch & Jewelry Italy SpA, tel. 02/202371.
