TAG Heuer Connected: the launch in New York

On 9 November, in New York, TAG Heuer, Intel Corporation and Google launched the connected watch designed by the Swiss brand, which is based on Intel technology and benefits from all the advantages offered by the Android Wear universe. It was unveiled by Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer and President of the LVMH Group's Watch Division, accompanied by Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel Corporation, and David Singleton, VP Android Engineering at Google, at the LVMH Tower location.

At 46 mm in diameter, the design of the TAG Heuer Connected is that of a true Carrera, with a case, case back and lugs in grade 2 titanium. For the first time, the brand has developed three digital dials (called 'watch faces'), which feature the instantly recognisable design codes of the Carrera collection. The applications are displayed in this way: the dial and hands remain, while the most relevant information from partner applications is displayed inside the three counters on the chronograph at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock. Simply touch the counter to open and interact with the application in full screen mode. The apps customised for TAG Heuer and available exclusively will initially be Insiders (lifestyle), GolfShot Pro (golf), RaceChrono Pro (car racing) and Viewrangers (trailing), which will be offered with a free subscription. A special SDK (Software Development Kit) has been developed that will allow unlimited enrichment. TAG Heuer has also added the classic functions that are part of the watchmaking universe: Timer, Alarm and Stopwatch, whose design remains faithful to the brand's codes.

It is offered at a price of 1,350 euros.
