Tudor presents the new Black Bay Chrono Pink, a tribute to two of the brand's important testimonials, namely David Beckham and Jay Chou. Let's see why.

Having recently announced the new role as Official Timekeeper for the Inter Miami football team, Tudor presented this unprecedented Black Bay Chrono Pink, featuring an unusual pink hue for the bottom of the dial. The Inter Miami football team is owned by David Beckham, long-time ambassador of Tudor, and the first jersey of the American team is dyed pink. The Black Bay Chrono Pink is therefore a tribute to this new partnership, but not only.

For several years, in fact, Tudor also holds the important role of Official Timekeeper of the Giro d'Italia, and as everyone knows, the leader's jersey in this important cycling classic is pink. Finally, Taiwanese singer and actor Jay Chou (Tudor's ambassador) also makes the colour pink his hallmark, so much so that it has become a true colour signature, unmistakable to its audience.

Black Bay Chrono Pink: details that matter

This new Black Bay Chrono features a bracelet with five rows of links

Plus, of course, the pink dial with black counters, Compared to the 'standard' Black Bay Chrono, it is worth noting the use of a Jubilee-style bracelet on five rows of links, instead of the more classic three-row Oyster style. The bracelet itself is equipped with a folding 'T-fit' clasp with a quick-adjust system.

On the dial, protected by a domed sapphire crystal, in addition to the famous snowflake hands, luminescent as well as geometric indices, there are the minutes on 45 units at 3, continuous seconds at 9 o'clock, chrono seconds in the centre and date display at 6 o'clock.

The 41 mm polished/satin-finished steel case (the aluminium bezel shows the tachymeter scale), guaranteed waterproof up to a pressure of 20 atmospheres, hosts the Tudor calibre MT5813 (7.23 mm thick, 28,800 vibrations per hour, silicon balance spring), with 70-hour power reserve. Developed from the Breitling manufacture chronograph calibre B01, with a high-precision regulating organ developed by Tudor and exclusive finishing, this movement is the fruit of a long-lasting collaboration between the two brands, which decided to combine their respective expertise in the design and production of certain mechanical movements.

In addition, the Tudor calibre MT5813 is chronometer-certified by the Cosc. However, its performance exceeds the standards set by this independent body. In fact, the Cosc admits an average daily deviation of between -4 and +6 seconds for an uncased movement, whereas Tudor applies a variation standard of -2 to +4 seconds per day with the watch fully assembled. Finally, Tudor announced that of this Black Bay Chrono Pink, the available examples 'will be few'.
