Sensational adjudication at Christie's auction in Geneva of the first copy of Ultimate Rolex Daytona. The book, created by Pucci Papaleo and written by Paolo Gobbi, fetched the exorbitant sum of 43,750 Swiss francs, or around 33,000 euros. Never before has a volume been paid so much.
It is a publication that presents in 612 pages (with no less than 2,000 original photos) the most valuable collection of Rolex Daytona in the world, with examples ranging from the first models of the 1960s to current production. A collection that allows you to retrace the evolution of the design and construction techniques of the illustrious chronograph in its salient stages. Many of the models presented are unique pieces.
The proceeds from the copy sold at auction by Christie's will be donated to the Italian Red Cross' 'Teddy's House'.
Congratulations!
