Venezianico chooses bronze

Venezianico presents a new version of the Nereide, a robust diver now offered with a case made of bronze.

Venezianico Nereide Bronzo

The city of Venice has a historical connection with bronze. One only has to think of the famous statues of St Mark's Horses, majestic statues made of this metal alloy, which found their home in St Mark's Basilica in the 13th century, initiating a rich artistic and craft tradition.

The link between the Serenissima and this material was the inspiration behind the new Nereide Bronzo by Venezianicowaterproof diver up to an impressive 30 atmospheres (300 metres).

The 42 mm case, made of bronze, is topped by a unidirectional rotating bezel with 120 clicks made of the same material. The degradé-effect dial, which fades from dark grey in the centre to black at the extremities, is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and houses SuperLuminova luminescent baton hands and hour markers, as well as the date window at 3 o'clock. The markers on the bezel are also SuperLuminova luminescent.

The steel, screw-down case back is engraved with the Cavalli di San Marco. The watch is powered by the Sellita calibre SW200-1 (26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 38-hour power reserve), Swiss Made, mechanical automatic. The strap is rubber, black in colour, with a bronze pin buckle.

Finally, an additional handcrafted leather strap is available (at an extra charge of €85), embellished with Latin engravings. These are taken from the oldest mosaic in St Mark's Basilica, dating back to the 13th century, illustrating the solemn oath of Doge Lorenzo Tiepolo in 1268 during the translation of St Mark's relic from the Doge's Palace to the Basilica.

Price 876 euro.
