Eighty-four years after Roald Amundsen, Zenith flies to the North Pole. The arduous task was entrusted to expolator Jean-Louis Etienne, who set off on 5 April from Spitsbergen in Norway aboard a helium balloon. In a few days, Etienne is expected to reach the Pole at the mercy of the winds and embarks on a 3,500-kilometre journey from Spitzbergen across the North Pole to the coast of Alaska. The aim of the expedition was to provide measurements of the earth's magnetic field and the amount of carbon dioxide in an emission-free zone. And as it was for Amundsen, a Zenith watch was also on Etienne's wrist.
