2017: the year of the Autavia for TAG Heuer

To mark the 55th anniversary of the first Autavia, TAG Heuer is giving it a new interpretation. Today's version, in fact, is inspired by the 1966 Autavia "Rindt", a watch awarded a prize by collectors and enthusiasts at the end of an online poll conducted last year. The three white totalizers have been spaced out, compared to that model, to offer better legibility of the time indications. In addition, a date display has been added at 6 o'clock, the case has been made water-resistant (to 10 atmospheres) and its size has been increased from 39 to 42 millimetres. The ensemble is completed by a black, knurled, bi-directional aluminium bezel and an aged brown calfskin strap with ecru stitching. At the heart of the chronograph is the Heuer manufacture automatic calibre 02, which ensures an 80-hour autonomy. It costs 4,600 euros.
