A Perrelet for micromechanics enthusiasts

First Class Double Rotor Black Edition is the new model in Perrelet's First Class line, completely manufactured. The watch uses the patented double rotor technology: it is a double oscillating weight that enables the automatic mechanism to draw energy from two rotors. The first is positioned below the calibre, while the second is visible on the dial side, allowing the watch owner to observe the winding function of the movement. The rotation of the rotors, perfectly synchronised, feeds the barrel and provides the mechanism with a continuous source of energy, ensuring more efficient winding. This timepiece has a steel case with a diameter of 42 millimetres, treated - for the first time in this line - with black PVD and is water-resistant to 5 atmospheres. It features lugs with a bevelled profile, a smooth slightly domed bezel, a case middle with the typical satin/polished vertical groove decoration, and a personalised crown with the Perrelet logo, now engraved in relief. The dial has been skeletonised and decorated to reveal its in-house movement, calibre P-481, with automatic winding beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing a 42-hour power reserve. The bridges and plates are rhodium-plated and finished with grenage. The double oscillating weight on the dial side is openworked, rhodium-plated and embellished with a Côtes de Genève finish. The back with its anti-reflective sapphire crystal showcases the main rotor, which is also openworked, rhodium-plated and embossed with the Perrelet logo. In a limited edition of 24, the watch is completed by a black crocodile strap with a folding buckle personalised with the Maison's logo.
