Great luminosity for the new Jaquet Droz

Gold and black jade version for the Grande Seconde Off-Centered by Jaquet Droz, in a limited edition of 28. The black jade, used for the dial, is an extremely hard stone due to the presence of metal in its composition, which entails a very long polishing process to reveal its tiny silvered inclusions. In red gold, with warm, auburn highlights, are both the case, 43 millimetres in diameter, and the hands and two circles for indicating the hours, minutes and seconds. Regarding the latter, the watch does not renounce its characteristic design created by Pierre Jaquet-Droz almost three centuries ago, while reinventing it: the alignment of the hour and minute indications, off-centre with respect to the independent seconds display, remains unchanged, but the axis shifts slightly, from 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock. The movement is mechanical with automatic winding, calibre 2663A.P, with an 18-carat red gold oscillating weight and 68-hour power reserve.
