New record for Bulgari

With a total thickness of only 5.80 millimetres (2.75 those of the ultra-thin BVL 305 automatic movement), Bulgari's Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar sets a record for the world's thinnest perpetual calendar. The seventh record for the Maison. The development of this calibre required the designers at the Manufacture in Le Sentier to explore new solutions, such as using a micro-rotor and optimising the space between the components, without reducing their size. The indications on the dial, arranged in an original way, are adjusted by means of three correctors: one for the date at 2 p.m., another for the month at 4 p.m. and a third for the day between 8 and 9 a.m. One can read the time without worrying about having to adjust the indications before February 2100, a leap year that will require the functions to be adjusted. With a case and bracelet in sandblasted titanium, the watch is on sale for €60,000. A second version with a platinum case and alligator leather strap is also available and is priced at €90,000.
