Eberhard & Co. and the Zagor watch

Eberhard & Co. has created a chronograph in a limited edition of just 120 pieces to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Zagor, the famous comic strip character created in 1961 from the pen of Guido Nolitta, alias Sergio Bonelli. A timepiece that encapsulates the defining traits of the Spirit with the Hatchet. "We strongly wanted to embark on a partnership with Sergio Bonelli Editore because it is an Italian publishing house with an important history, born from the brilliant pen of a creative man, who created world-famous comic book heroes," explains Eberhard Italia CEO Mario Peserico. "Thanks to Zagor, we will approach the world of comic fans, and in particular the 'Zagorians', who are always attentive to the novelties linked to their favourite characters". The star of the watch, with its steel case, is its grey dial personalised with the Zagor 60 logo celebrating the 60th anniversary of the famous character and enriched by the presence of the black chrono hour and minute counters with azurée workmanship, at 6 and 12 o'clock respectively, and the continuous seconds counter in yellow (like the Zagor emblem) at 9 o'clock, with a personalised red profile and 60 seconds scale on a white background. There is also a date display at 4 o'clock and a tachymeter scale on a 1000 base on the flange. Also personalised is the caseback, on which Zagor's axe (tomahawk) is engraved, set in a circle to recall the hero's symbol. The strap is in grey vintage leather with yellow stitching. At the heart of the timepiece is the ETA 7750 calibre, mechanical with automatic winding.
